Mukilteo North Little League: Welcome
2008 All-Stars
Game #4 9 - 10 yr. old team: 5:00 PM Mon., July 7 @ Cedar Field, Marysville (lost 8 - 0 vs. Pacific) The 9/10 yr. olds lost 8 - 0 to a resilient team from Pacific LL. MNLL finished tied for 5th in the District (with Alderwood LL). At the point of our elimination, 4 teams remained: Pacific, Stanwood/Camano, Granite Falls, & Mill Creek. MNLL had previously played 3 of the 4 remaining teams, having 10-runned both PLL and SCLL, and lost a very close 1-run game to GFLL. The Mukilteo boys can be proud that they can compete with the best in the district. Congratulations on a great run! Mill Creek beat SCLL to win the Championship. Game #3 9 - 10 yr. old team: 5:00 PM Wed., July 2 @ Cedar Field, Marysville (lost 5 – 4 vs. Granite Falls) The 9/10 yr. olds battled to the end in a tough 5 – 4 loss to Granite Falls. MNLL went ahead 1 - 0 in the top of the 1st. It was a tight game all the way through, with GF breaking a 2 – 2 tie in the bottom of the 5th with their 2nd HR of the day. Down 3 – 2 going into the top of the 6th Mukilteo fought back to a 4 – 3 lead. In the bottom of the 6th, with bases loaded, 1 out, & Tej Asher on the mound, Jase Wiley kept MNLL in the game with a great catch & throw to home from right field to hold the runner at 3rd. Unfortunately, Mukilteo could not get the 3rd out as GF scored 2 runs to win the game. Scoring 2 runs for MNLL, Will Kramer also made some impressive defensive plays at SS. –Great baseball game between 2 good, competitive teams. Mukilteo isn’t done yet! Game #2 11 yr. old team: 5:00 PM Monday, June 30 @ Phil Johnson #2 (lost 14 – 0 vs. Pacific) 11 – 12 yr. old team: 4:00 PM Wed., July 2 @ Lynndale Park (lost to SMLL) 9 – 10 yr. old team: 2:00 Sunday, June 29 @ Marysville (won 15 – 1 vs. Stanwood/Camano!) The 9 - 10 yr. old team put in another outstanding TEAM performance with a 15 – 1 win (in 4 innings) over a team loaded with hitters from Stanwood/Camano! The Mukilteo win included great pitching from Carter Grant, near flawless defense, led by Nathan Shubert with impenetrable defense at 1st base, and relentless hitting from everyone, particularly Jacob Simmer, who was standing on 3rd base following consecutive at bats when the team batted around the order in the (3rd?) inning. This team is for real! Game #1 11 yr. old team: 6:00 PM Friday, June 27 @ Phil Johnson #2 (lost 5 – 1 vs. N. Snohomish) 11 – 12 yr. old team 9:00 AM Sun., 6/69 @ Lynndale Park (lost 14 – 0 vs. Pacific) 9 - 10 yr. old team: 9:00 AM Sat., June 28 @ Cedar Field, Marysville (won 12 – 1 vs. Pacific!) The 9 - 10 yr. old team looked great in their first game with a HUGE WIN over a strong team from Pacific LL, winning 12 - 1 in 4 innings!!! Connor Alexander put in a stellar performance on the mound, backed by solid defense. Offensively, the entire lineup contributed, with all 9 starters scoring at least 1 run! Congratulations boys, keep up the great work!

Game 2 - Mukilteo North 6, North Everett 5 After giving up 5 runs by the 2nd, the RedSox answered with 2 runs in the top of the 3rd. Kevaughn Umayam pitched 5 outstanding innings. In the 4th inning Kevaughn followed that effort with a solo HR to close the gap to 5-3. In the top of the 6th inning, down 2 runs, Adam Ayers showed once again great composure at the plate and worked another key walk, followed by a hard hit single to right field by Nathan Selbeck. With 2 on, Nate Littrell hit a game winning 3-run HR out the deepest part of the park. Brandon Gustafson then closed out the game overwhelming the N Everett team with terrific 6th inning pitching.
